Family Vacation

This past week we were able to get away to a resort up near Park Rapids for some great family time! Highlights for us all include: 1st tractor show/pull, some great biking, Scott cooking the WHOLE week so I didn't have too:-), watching Soren's love for the pool/lake just explode, some great food, Mongolian BBQ, visiting family and friends, Itasca State Park, lots of ice cream, playing games, uninterrupted reading, visiting a winery, browsing many cute shops/stores and best of all just spending time together!

For some reason the regular website that I use for pics wasn't working tonight....so I had to download all the pics as you see below. Because I'm not so tech-saavy you'll have to view our images below in three posts-sorry!!

Birthday Party:Newberg Edition

It's hard to believe...but Soren really doesn't like chocolate, cake, toppings on his vanilla or anything likewise! So....he got what he loves for his birthday-a BIG bowl of vanilla!

The AWESOME table from Loren & Sue!

Hot wheels are a hit!

Our family of three.....for our 3 year old!! Which is SO hard for me to believe! Where did three years go!

Harvest Days

This past weekend Soren & I got to spend some time with my folks. Their town was celebrating Harvest Days....and so we got to participate in some of the activities!!Grammie Sue and Soren checking out all the creepy, crawly animals!

Grammie Sue & Soren checking out/touching the snake!! I really hate snakes....so thanks Mom!!

Having a great time on the train before the big kids behind him starting bouncing up & down....then Soren got really scared and didn't get to enjoy the ride. Bummer!!!!

He did enjoy the bounce houses~for a little bit!

Breakfast on the driveway....

As we prepare for preschool we recieved an activity calendar for the month of August and days in Sept leading up to the start of it. One day last week was to eat breakfast on the deck....well we had to improvise as the deck was wet, wet, wet! Soren LOVED it and has asked to eat on the driveway almost daily since then!

This & That

We decided since Soren will soon be three....he needs a preschool haircut!!! It sure is cooler on these hot, hot, hot days!!!

This morning I asked Soren to grab a FEW toys to play with during quiet time while I showered. I'm not sure he understood the FEW part of my request!!
