Our newest houseguest...........Kari!!!!

I can't resist these curls!!!!!!!!!

She is getting used to all the tractors and construction equipment!!!!

This is a scene that is unfamiliar to me............baby dolls!!!  What do I do with a girl???

Soren has got this thing figured out....make Kari do all the work while he rides around in his dump truck!!!!

Flooding......

On Sunday, Scott and I drove up to Bismarck to get our niece Kari for a stay at our house!!  Words cannot describe the scenes that we encountered!!!  The first few pics are of my folks' house and all of the wonderful friends/family that are graciously offering a hand to sandbag, etc.  The next are just a few of the neighborhood!!!  Please continue to pray for them, to give them strength, knowledge and hope!!!!

Oops..........

Forgot to add in one of the best pictures......yummy donuts following the race!!!  (see below's post)

Memorial Day 5K

As mentioned before, Scott ran his 3rd annual Memorial Day 5k this past weekend (I have to admit, I was a little sad that I couldn't participate)!!!  Above is a pic of some of the people from our church family that ran it also!!!

Scott running down the home stretch waving to Soren, Maddie and Chloe as they cheered him on!

I think we would call it a success as Scott's dad joined in the fun!!!

Laundry list.....

A laundry list of praises and prayers.....

~For Scott's family as they celebrate a wonderful life, yet mourn, the loss of Grandma Olson.
~For Soren finishing his first year of preschool....WOW!!  Where did that year go??
~For my sister's family and my folks....as they prepare for flooding.  Which means attempting to move to high ground, losing their houses/belongings and ALL the stress that comes with a natural diaster.
~For Scott (and all other farmers) that they will have nice weather to finish planting/springwork.
~For only 4-ish weeks left of being pregnant....that this little one will enter this world with a healthy body and all goes well for us both!
~YAY for a 6o-something year old grandpa (Scott's dad) to run/walk his first 5k this weekend with his 30-something year old son!

Mother's Day...

I have been blessed to be Soren's mother and Scott's wife! For Mother's Day I got flowers delivered to work by my two handsome boys and a card that Soren made at preschool. The teacher had the kids 'fill in the blank' about their moms and this is what Soren's said!!! My mom is the best mom in the world! Her name is Solveig and she is 49 yrs old. She weighs 20 lbs and has blue eyes and blonde hair. Her favorite food is sandwhiches and salad. My mom looks prettiest when she wears a dress. I love my mom because she makes supper. The best present I could give my mom is clothes. I love you mom!!

FINALLY....

Due to the not-so-nice spring (or lack thereof) spring we've had, we haven't gotten our deck furniture out or backyard swing up!!! Well, Scott got them out on Thursday night after bedtime & Soren couldn't wait to eat supper out there on Friday....it was a beautiful night with hopefully many more to come!!!
