Kinley Violet

So I am FINALLY catching up with our biggest news!! Kinely Violet was born last Friday at 3.51pm.  She is absolutely perfect (ok, I'm biased!)  She weighed in at 7lb 13oz with dark brown hair.  We are home now and tonite will be our first as a family of four!!  Here are some random pictures of the last four days with many more to come!  Praise the Lord for such a blessing!!

Daddy is smitten with her already!!!

Love the first glimpses on our baby girl!!

 The three of us!

Soren meeting Kinley for the first time....the first of MANY kisses that he gives her!!

New hobby....

Since this mommy hasn't been motivated to do much and the weather has been less than favorable I decided to check out some books on tape (well, actually CD).  It has been a hit....Soren is loving it and I love the entertainment it provides!!

We'll miss her.....

After being here for more than 2.5 weeks Kari went home today!!  I have to tell you that it is significantly quieter today :)....but I do miss the shoe loving, buckle loving, baby loving, bag loving, carbohydrate loving little girl!!  Soren is already wondering when we get to see his cousins again.......as it can't come soon enough!!  We love you Kari!!!!!

PennMania......

We are thoroughly enjoying having the Penn's (my sister & kids) here this week!!  The kids have spent much time just enjoying each other and spending the evenings at VBS!!!  Here are some of the summertime fun pics from our house this week!!

Directions

As they were 'harvesting' in our living room tonite.
Soren: Daddy, we have to take the corn to the elevator.
Scott: Where's the elevator at?
Soren: Turn to the right, turn to the left, stop at the stop sign, go through North Dakota and there's the elevator, Dad!!!
:)

When you are at Soren's house......

....you learn to play with payloaders as we don't have any 'outside dolls.'

.....you learn to play/ride on tractors as we don't have any 'outside dolls.'

....you learn to play with skidsteers in the dirt as we don't have any 'outside dolls.'

.....you are crabby because we don't have any 'outside dolls.'

.....you learn to use the wheelbarrow for rocks and dirt as we don't have any 'outside dolls.'

....but in the end it doesn't matter because it's just fun to play with your cousin!!! :)
