8 mos old

Well, Miss Kinley will be 8 months old here shortly!!  She is such a joy and blessing to us....I am not sure where these last 8 mos have gone!

 This past month has been filled with 'firsts' for her!

~She got her first tooth while we were on vacation....the 2nd has now appeared also!

~She learned how to clap her hands and is so proud! We are now working on "Praise the Lord!"

~She has been diagnosed with her first ear infection and just recently got her second!

~She has learned how to go from laying to sitting and vice versa!

~Just this morning I saw her actually move her hands/legs in a crawling motion....it won't be long now!

~She can actually eat 'puffs' without gagging!

~Just yesterday she attempted to pull herself up on our coffee table!

~That's all I can think of for now...but I know theres more!

An addendum...

It is a routine at our house to review the vital information that Soren needs to know in case of an emergency.  So tonite at supper we were asking him our phone number, address, city, state and country, etc.  When we were finished he looked at us and smiled.....and then proceeded to ask us what his web address was?  www.????

Conversations with Soren...

Soren: Dad, my grain prices are falling!
Scott: Oh, that's not good.
Soren: Dad, what's going on at your farm?
Scott: Well, I am a little worried about us getting some rain!
Soren: Dad, I think we both have the same issues!?!?!

Since we've been home...

 The Sunday after we got home we were able to go on a date with Soren to The Lion King!  First of all...it was an amazing show to see!  But most of all....it was awesome to 'see' the show through Soren's eyes!  We had an absolutely wonderful time!!

 The mom's were invited to preschool for a Valentines Day program!  I absolutely LOVE seeing Soren stand up there being so loud and proud to share the songs & poems they've memorized!!  Of course the highlight for him was the treats that were served afterwards!! :)

 It's been so goregous here that we bundled Miss Roo up and put her in the swing for her first ride....needless to say...she LOVED it!!  It will be a fun summer for sure!

With all the fun things going on we haven't got much 'down' time....so yesterday the kids and I stayed home, with our pj's on, and just hung out!  What a great way to end the week!!



Fun, sun and food....

The beginning of February brought a much needed adult only vacation to our house!!  The kids got to stay with my sister and love being involved in all the action at their house!  While we got to enjoy some much needed sleep, sun, lazy days, pool/ocean time and LOTS of good food!  I am not sure who had more fun though....Soren has many stories of his adventures at Siri's!!!

 Spent a wonderful 1 1/2 days with Scott's relatives...Gregg & Sandy!  They welcomed us with open arms and gave us a wonderful tour of the Tampa area!
