9 months old....

Miss Kinley is a moving target.  Soren and I attempted to take her 9 month pictures today.....well, they are the best we could do!  She was more interested in 'eating' her blocks than anything!

She is now saying the Mama & Dada sounds, pulling herself up on EVERYTHING, loves to put anything in her mouth and then promptly gags on it, smiles to no end when swinging outside, blows raspberries/bubbles constantly, loves to chase her brother around the house, and in general is a happy baby!

Swim lessons...

Tonight was our last night of swim lessons for this session!! I am excited to say that Soren passed the "Eels" with flying colors and looks forward to "Polliwogs" next fall/winter!  Here are some fun pics of his last night!

Working with Ashley to swim across the pool!

And back to the other side!

I haven't been able to catch Kin doing "Praise the Lord!" until tonite....she was clapping her hands like crazy!!!

The final reward was to go down the waterslide....which Soren ABSOLUTELY loves!!!  Pure joy is shining all over his face!

Spring time

Due to such nice weather this week...we have been able to spend some time at Soren's FAVORITE place....

THE FARM!!!!

More from Soren

So if you haven't read Scott's post on FB a while back check it out....Soren is thinking about being nocturnal!!!

We were sitting at the supper table the other night and he asked us what he and Kinley will be when they grow up?  Our response was, "I don't know what do you think?"
Soren responded, "I think Kin will work for the government!!!"

Really!?!?!

The next day I asked him what Kinley is going to do for the government?
His response was, "Just sit around and twiddle her thumbs!"

If he only knew.....

New vision...

So last Friday I was able to have Lasik eye surgery....everything went well and even though I can't see 20/20 yet I am amazed at how awesome it is and *will be*! I have a new perspective on things though and for those of you that don't have any correction to your eyesight or very little this won't make any sense to you!!  I am overwhelmed and overstimulated at times by being able to 'see' all the time!  The first night that I really noticed it was on Monday as I was getting ready for bed.  Taking my contacts out have been part of my routine for the last 20ish years and was one way that I would get ready to settle down for bed and I no longer had to do that....it was an odd feeling!  The other thing I have noticed is that I am overstimulated while laying in bed.  You see, when I took my glasses off before bed everything just got blurry and I didn't have to think about closing my eyes for my brain to shut-down!   Well, now I can see everything around me and it keeps me awake/and keeps my brain going!!  I actually have to try to shut-off my brain and close my eyes in order to settle down!!!  I know these things will pass and I will adjust to my new sight....but these were things I hadn't expected when thinking about surgery!! :)
