This past Thanksgiving we were able to spend it with both sides of the family!! It was great to be together....it always go to fast!

Scott has fond memories of Thanksgiving *always* being at the farm...so he requested that it be held there again this year.

After replacing a car battery and 2 tires on black Friday...we managed to hit the road and trek to ND to see my side of the family!! My kids are always over the moon excited to see their cousins! A good time was definately had by all!

Falll Fun

After being stuck inside with a sick toddler for 5 days....we were able to go outside yesterday and enjoy all the falling leaves around us! Somehow, I don't remember raking this many last year! :) We made piles all over the yard...Soren loved jumping in them & Kinley was unsure about the 'mess' they were making. She really just loved following Soren around...enjoying the excitement of it all. Whichever way, it was great to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Wedding Fun

Today we got to celebrate the union of Scott's cousin Joel and his beautiful bride Emily!  They had a wonderful ceremony filled with love & commitment. Here are a few pics
A S'mores bar (next to the kids table) was an absolute hit!!
During the ceremony Roo stayed home to nap (with a babysitter of course)!!

We stopped by a friends house for a quick photo shoot (hopeful Cmas card)....here's the 'silly' one!

3 generations of Newberg men....serious and silly!

Field trip

Today I got to join Soren's Kindergarten class for a field trip to a local 'farm.'  Soren has been there 3x before with his preschool class, Scott had chaperoned a few of those, but I had never been there!  Soren was SO excited to show me around!  It was great!  It really was a fun-filled day of play and learning! Of course, I just had my cell phone...so here are a few pics from it.

 Mrs Strand and her kids!

 Pumpkin picking!

Hayride through the woods was a new event for Soren this year!  A hit!!

Holding a baby chick in the chicken coop!

 Picking an egg.

Weighing the egg to see if it's small, medium, large, extra large or jumbo!

Checking to see if there's any cracks!

My great group of kids for the day!

The egg being 'processed' to see what carton it would go in.

These next pics are blurry because it was my phone, but they have a great hayloft that kids get to swing into and then jump off! A definite hit!!

Learning about many of the farm animals!

The forecast was rain!!  Thankfully, the rain held off until we were on our way home!  :)

Quick trip

This past weekend I was able to meet my very good friend for some great garage saling at my folks' house!  This is one of the few pics I took...Kinley & cousin Kari on a HOT HOT afternoon!  I think they look like sisters more than cousins!! :)

First day of Kindergarten!!

Yesterday, we got to meet Mrs Strand for some individual time.  Soren got to check out his locker, explore his room, tell another teacher his ABC's and 123's, etc.  It made waiting for today....that much more exciting!
His teacher, Mrs. Strand!  We are SO excited about her!
Today at 7am sharp, Soren was upstairs fully dressed, backpack packed, waiting for his first day of school breakfast and asking how long until the bus arrives. Normally, he needs a little encouragement to get going for the day...NOT today! :)
Finally, we let him go outside....he would've been waiting for a good 20 mins had we let him go when he first asked! :)

SUPER excited to head to the bus stop.  Leading the way!
No problems for this kid!  He was like, "See you later!"
I can't wait to hear all about his first day!  He is more than ready and ready to spread his wings!  I can't wait to see what God has in store for this red head!
