Kinley's actual 3rd Birthday

This past Tuesday was Roo's actual birthday!!  She woke up saying….IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!  Who doesn't love having a living room full of pink balloons and streamers hanging from your door!?!

 She fell in love with her new princess suitcase AND it lights up!!!

 Because we were headed out for the day…she got to open all her presents before breakfast!

 Breakfast cereal choice this year…..Lucky Charms! :) ONLY on your birthday!

 My THREE year old…..how can it be?

 Our dear friends, the Skoglunds, were in Mpls for the week and were able to meet us for a day of fun in the sun!  First stop….Como Zoo!

 The Carousel has always been 'shut down' when we've been there…and so it was a MUST to do this time!!  ALL smiles around!

 The Skoglund's treated the Newberg's to some great activities!!! The girls went to the Barbie Expo at the MOA and the boys went Mini-Golfing!!!  It was a very sweet surprise!

 We then ended the day at Bubba Shrimp's….Addie & Soren playing hangman while we wait.

 The wait staff sang to Roo.

Jeremy & Erica are one set of Kinley's godparents….and so it was SO special to spend the day with them!!!  Thank you dear friends!

My cousin's Wedding & Kinley's 3rd Birthday!

This past weekend we were able to get together with my mom's side of the family, the Haugen's, in Grand Forks ND for my cousin Kori's wedding.

 Since we were all together….it was a great time to celebrate Kinley's 3rd birthday….Cupcakes after Noodles & Co….what more could a girl want?

America's Pasttime

Last night we were able to attend a Stingers game, they are our local baseball team!  My employer sponsored an employee family night!  It was an absolute beautiful night out weather wise!  Kinley ended up being more interested in their mascot, Barry, and Soren was concerned about getting 'snacks!'  But we got to sit by some great friends and just spend time together!  

AWANA Awards Night

Just about 2 weeks ago, our church ended it's Wed night program called AWANA!!  This was Soren's first year as a Sparkie……we are SO proud of him!  He completed his 1st book, the review book and about 10 additional verses!!  He is MORE than excited for next year!!  Of course, ending it with an ice cream sundae and sharing it with Grandpa Gary was a hit as well!! 

A BIG Week!!

Kinley got her hair cut for the first time this week! I've been apprehensive about it for months as she is SO busy and won't sit still for much!  I warned our beautician it was time….last time I was in!  Much to my surprise….it was fantastic!!  She was SO enamored with all the mirrors and what Kristen was doing that she sat still and did not squirm or fuss one bit!!  

 Of course, it helped that she got a sucker and a chair of her own when she was done…..waiting for Soren!!
