Spring Break!!

Scott, Soren, Abram (our good friend) & I headed to the MOA for some Lego and Nickelodeon fun (along with every other Minnesotan!)!!

 Playing a little travel hangman!

The Carousal was great for these cowboys!!  They were whipping their left arms up in the air and they went round and round!!

A selfie on the roller coaster!

The ride they were both SUPER excited to go on…but neither of them wanted to go back on! lol

 At the Lego tables!

The Haunted House was a hit with both boys!

We finally took a break for lunch!

 Planning out their next move/ride!

This boy giggled like nobody's business on the roller-coaster!! I wanted to go again just to hear him!

Waiting for Soren & Scott……this day is 2 thumbs up!

We filled our day with lots of fun and here's to one more 'treat'……..I think we all will sleep great tonight!

Maui 2014

Last week, Scott & I, were able to get out of this cold state of MN and head to Maui!!  We were so very blessed to have many friends and family that loved on our children……that is what made it so relaxing to me!  Knowing they were in excellent care and loving their time with each family/residence! Here are a few pics from our time away!!

The start of vacation was a lay over in Seattle/Tacoma airport!  I totally loved sipping coffee, rocking in the provided rocking chairs and watching out the floor to ceiling windows!

This picture doesn't do the Banyan tree justice!  In a neighboring town to where we stayed….it was absolutely HUGE!!

One of my favorite activities was to bike down Haleakala Mtn.  The summit is 10,000ft but we started our ride right outside the park at 6500ft. Unfortunately, this was the only day it rained hard….pelting in my eyes hard!!!  But, it makes for a good story and laugh!  Oh yeah, we had to get up at 2am (seriously) to get to the mtn top for sunrise!!
It was a blast…..and we did go back another day to actually 'see' what we missed through all the rain!

Another early morning was spent whale watching!  It was a little chilly but nothing for these hardy Minnesotans!  We went with the Pacific Whale Foundation…they did such a nice job of educating us while giving us a great tour!  We saw whales within a 100 yards of vessel!  A dolphin or two as well!

We went we back….on the sunny day!

We had wonderful meals with fresh fish and desserts! :) This one was at Roy's….a favorite restaurant of ours…. to-die-for chocolate soufflĂ©!!

Did I mention that we were celebrating our 10 yr anniversary….a few months early?

The sunrise view of the mtn we biked down…taken from our condo!

Iao Needle….historical landmark!

We survived "The Road to Hana"….which is 25 miles of 671 hairpin turns, 50 or 60 bridges, lots of one lane roads, NOT good for a girl who is normally a carsick cassie on straight Minnesota roads!

Due to the weather this river would normally be overflowing….but it's 'drought like' in Maui right now!

A black sand beach…the picture doesn't do all the colors justice!  It was very cool!
 Happy Anniversary honey!
A lava tube that lead us out to the ocean.

 A few pretty landscape pics!

"7 Sacred Pools"….see that bridge on top that we drove over to get to it?  Also, do you see Scott at the bottom of the last waterfall?  It was a refreshing and relaxing day!

More black sand!

 Beautiful beach!
We both fell in love with boogie-boarding!!
Of course, there are many more pics and stories to tell…but all-in-all we had a FANTASTIC time!  Can't wait to go back in 5 yrs!

Cousin Kari comes to visit…..and a few extra friends for the day!

This past week, cousin Kari came to stay with us!!  It's always a great time when she's here.  We love her and all the joy she brings!

We started off the week by having Soren home for MLK day and 4 of our good friends (their parents were enjoying some sun and sand!).

It's always great when you have an avid reader that can read out loud to the younger ones!! Thanks Ayden!

Even though it was a bit chilly outside…..it was good for everyone to get outside while the littlest ones napped!

To keep 'quiet' during the rest of nap time…..they builds forts to watch, "Charlotte's Web!"

I'm not sure how I can resist this little man…..I just love him to pieces!

Kari & Kinley spent many hours coloring and crafting!

While waiting for their ride…..our friends learned a new card game that *almost* every age can play!

Between the snow days from school and 2hr late starts…..we've spent a LOT of time playing games!

Building more forts and pillow piles have been a huge success!

Taking turns with the electronic globe are a hit as well!

Reading books together when nobody can read…….it did get a little frustrating after this pic was taken! lol :)
We love you, Kari Mari, please come back again soon!!
