About...

Saturday mornings. We've adopted having donuts on Saturday mornings. This Sat. was no different and Soren thoroughly enjoyed eating his 'messy donut.' It's the one time/week there isn't a constant chatter at the table.....atleast until the messy donut is gone!

Birdies that want to play. Soren was given strict instructions to stay on the deck while I worked in the kitchen this morning. He did however come to the screen door and told me, 'the birdies want me to come and play.' It just so happens there were birdies on the neighbor's swingset.....which is where he wanted to be.

God. This is the conversation I heard this morning while cleaning. Soren's 'boat' was floating down the river (laundry basket being pushed down the hall). Soren said, "God I need help with my boat." He promptly picks up his pretend phone and says, "Hi God, How are you? (pause) I'm okay. (pause) Will you help me with my boat? (pause) Okay, bye." Then came to tell me that God was coming over!!!

  1. Dad can't figure out what to be most impressed with: the donuts or the talk with God.

  3. Cub donuts call your names too on Saturday mornings? We'll have to make it a donut party some Saturday!

As for the talk with God, how cool is it when kids learn He is just someone you can easily chat with, anytime, anywhere, no "thou"s or "hast"s needed!!!
