Pumpkin Carving

Last nite we were invited over to some friends for some good old pumpkin carving!  Scott & Soren had a good time while Kinley & I supervised.

The final result was a witch or wutch as Soren pronouced it!  Here he is making a witch like face.

The pics are in reverse...but you get the idea!

Harvest Time

The long-awaited ride in the combine arrived today!  Soren has been asking to ride with Grandpa and/or Scott for days now!  Well, tonite he rode with Grandpa Gary for 2 1/2 hrs while Kinley & I hung out in the van.  I am pretty sure that he would have rode longer but it was supper time for us all, much to his dismay!

Soren & Scott started out the journey with bringing a wagon out to the field, some 4 miles away!

Anxiously waiting for the combine!  Scott said Soren was smiling from ear to ear and leaping over the ground waiting.

 Riding with Grandpa!
It was a beautiful evening to watch the sunset over the fields!

Apple picking-Round three

Today we got to go out to our farm and pick apples in preparation for making some much beloved applebutter!!  Soren has been able to pick with the Daniel family, the Schueler family and now with his family and hasn't grown tired of the fun of it!!!  It was a goregous late morning/afternoon to spend at the farm!

You can see all the apples that fell due to the strong winds yesterday!
